Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern use of the Practiz platform by institutions and their users. Institutional agreements signed with a college take precedence over this page where they differ.

1. The service

Practiz provides AI-assisted interview practice, viva assessment, and related analytics to educational institutions. Features available to a given college depend on its plan and configuration.

2. Accounts

Accounts are provisioned by your institution. You are responsible for keeping your credentials private and for activity under your account. Tell your administrator immediately if you believe your account is compromised.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don't attempt to access another user's or college's data.
  • Don't probe, disable, or overload the service, or bypass integrity controls.
  • Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.
  • Don't misuse the coding sandbox or AI interviewer to generate harmful content.

4. Content and ownership

Colleges own the content they upload (syllabi, curricula) and the assessment records generated for their students. Students retain ownership of documents they upload. Practiz owns the platform, including its assessment engine and generated question structures. We use your content to provide the service to you — not to build products for others.

5. AI-generated content

Questions, evaluations and study material are generated with AI and reviewed through faculty-controlled workflows. Scores can be moderated by faculty and appealed by students; final academic judgments rest with the institution, not with Practiz.

6. Availability

We work hard to keep the service available and degrade gracefully when third-party providers fail, but the service is provided "as is" without a guaranteed service level unless one is agreed in an institutional contract.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Practiz's aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the fees paid by the institution in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Termination

Institutions may stop using the service per their agreement. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice to the institution. On termination, colleges may export their reports; data is then deleted per the retention policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
